Skills and experience
• Hold AQF Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Children’s Services or relevant Degree or Early Childhood Education qualification
• Previous experience as a Assistant Director is an advantage but not required
• Practical working knowledge and implementation of the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework
• Sound knowledge of the Child Care Management System – Using a registered software package
• Administration of accounts
• Supporting team-work skills
• A current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certification
• Current Child Safe Environments certification
• A current DCSI Child Related Employment Screening check

The centre is looking for an experienced child care director for a short term contract position for 6 months from 5 February to 3 August 2018 to backfill our Director (Child Care) whilst the current Director is taking Long Service Leave.

The position may be filled in either a full time capacity or part time capacity of no less than 30 hours a week. The Director (Child Care) is employed under the Children’s Services Award and is responsible to the DECD Director, Education and Care and the Governing Council (Child Care) for the effective and efficient day to day management and administration of the child care program, including the development, planning, implementation and evaluation of high quality curriculum.

The successful applicant will have:
- Sound knowledge of Early Years Learning Framework and Education and Care Services Regulations and National Law
- Experienced in supporting change management and supporting continuous improvement
- Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals in the centre such as Speech Pathologist and Occupational Therapist to support children’s learning and development.
